About

Hi, I'm Katie Gorsalitz. I'm a software developer by day, and a hobbyist Franklin expedition genealogist by night. I've set up this website as a place to dump all of the things I've learned along the way.

My research is done in the hopes of finding living descendants of members of the Franklin expedition who are able to assist in potentially identifying remains from the expedition. Only specific lines of descent are able to contribute to identification. A descendant donor must come from an unbroken male or female line of descent from a common ancestor.

It is important to note that I am a hobbyist attempting to find living descendants and direct them to the study, but I am not affiliated with the actual study doing the identification.
